"THE SECRET SOCIETY"

My punishment from committee for letting members know what is going on at the shows and providing other information to members.

I have been banned from the QLD DGSA website, I am not allowed to place any ads in the QLD Branch Book or have any information in the QLD Newsletters.
I am not a member of twitter or facebook and do not have a blog.

My website is my noticeboard and I will continue to put information on it that I feel members should know about.

Firstly I must tell the story as to how I became interested in Anglo Nubians. We started with 5 acres then as the goat population grew we grew to a property of 40 acres.

Our property is perfect goat country with lots of hills, gully’s, and partly scrubbed..

It started with two Miniature Does with pointy earsthat we purchased to eat the grass in the gullys. Then I saw some with long ears, then I saw dapples (mottles).

I realized the ears and mottle was from Anglo Nubians. When I was offered an older Anglo Nubian doe I jumped at the chance. Her name was Fleur and I became hooked on how placid and friendly she was. Then I was offered a 2 week old Nubian doe that weighed 2kg and was very sick. Her mother died with barbers pole soon after. It took many months to get her well and for her to be able to run and jump like the other baby goats. I named her Feebie and she is not the best looking goat but a very loving goat.

I decided to join the DGSA so I could read up on the Anglo Nubians in general. I then realized there are Anglo Nubians and "English Line or Heritage "Anglo Nubians.

Our Anglo Nubian Stud is now a reality .

Our main breeding plans are to breed for large heavy boned animals that have milk production.
We are presently doing milk testing to ensure milk production is maintained.

Any Anglo Nubians bred at Hidden Valley Stud that are offered for sale in the future can have DNA information available to confirm parentage.
